Analysis on the Matching between Scale of Integrated Automation and Operation Capacity in Marshalling Yard

From the aspect of working procedures in railway marshalling yard, the article presents a theoretical analysis on how to identi- fy the operation capacity of marshalling yard and proposes the principle and methods to determine the scale of marshalling yard according to its capacity. The effect of integrated automation on effi ciency improvement is concluded, and by using the capacity matching principle, the scale of integrated automation in marshalling yard is analyzed and assessed. In addition, calculation method and quantifi ed indicators are put forward to evaluate the effi ciency improvement by using integrated automation system, which has a signifi cant meaning for the planning, design, confi guration and evaluation of the integrated automation system in railway marshalling yard.
