| Abstract: | Design Work is one of the essential factors for the success of an EPC project. More risks related to design are allocat- ed to the contactor under the Silver Book of FIDIC rainbow series. The risk cases which occurred to Chinese contractors have indicated the importance of risk management of design work. Based on three key contract factors, risk control during various design stages of EPC project can be effectively managed within the framework of contractual practice and procedures under the FIDIC Silver Book conditions, and valuable suggestions are put forward. |
