Analysis and Countermeasures of Safety Operation Environment for Beijing Mass Transit Railway Elevated and Surface Lines

In accordance with the complicated safety problems on natural and social environment for elevated and surface lines of mass transit railways arising from their semi-opening characteristics,incorporating the practical operation experience of Beijing metro elevated and surface lines,the paper analyzes typical safety problems involving bad weather,large-scale passenger flow,structural instability,accidents,clearance intrusion,surrounding projects,human-caused damages and social safety sense,discussing possible effects and consequences on metro operation respectively with countermeasures proposed to cope with them for the safety operation management of urban rail transit.This provides guidelines for setting up safety management regulations under network condition.
