Abstract:Mazda has developed a highly efficient, V6 Miller cycle engine with late intake valve closing combined with a Lysholm compressor. The engine has achieved the good fuel economy of a small displacement engine while providing the excellent driving performance of a large displacement engine. It also offers superior NVH performance as well as high quality. This paper describes the structure, major technologies, and advantages of the new engine.
