A Study on the Strategies to Increase the Freight Volume at Changzhi North Railway Station

Transporting primary bulk goods by railway and water instead of the road,an essential way for China to adjust its transport structure meets the need to realize the high-quality development of railway freight transport.Based on an analysis of freight transport development at Changzhi North Railway Station in terms of the source structure,cargo flow characteristics and loading area,this paper puts forward the strategies to increase freight volume continuously:strengthening marketing,optimizing transportation organization,and improving transportation capacity.These strategies are expected to address the negative factors belonging to the changing market demand,limited transportation capacity and the requirement of coordinated operation organization.
