Abstract:The temperature field and temperature stress have been anaiysed for some diesel locomotive wheel spoke. It is the temperature that causes by tyre contacting face temperature increased when a locomitive is braking. To make sure that the new greatest stress is not over the original, the wheel spoke shape optimize has has been made to reduce its weight. Its result shows that the laxgest stress is less than original and the weight decreases after the optimization. The desired results has been achieved completely.
