认知语境与英语听力教学

摘    要:认知语境是一种心理建构体,是听者在话语含义推理过程中挑选的一组知识。从认知语境的定义及构成出发,文章指出了认知语境的建构对听力理解的重要作用,并提出其对英语听力教学方面的一些启示,如引导学生预测形成命题,帮助学生组合心理图式及根据新旧信息关系整体把握听力内容。

Abstract:Cognitive context is a kind of psychological construct, consisting of a set of knowledge chosen by listeners during the process of utterance understanding. On the basis of the definition and components of cognitive context, this paper discusses the importance of cognitive context construction in listening comprehension, and proposes some methods of using cognitive context in English listening teaching, such as helping students predict in order to form propositions, construct psychological schema, and comprehend listening materials according to the relations of the old and new information.
