| 摘 要： | 为进一步改善城市交通，新加坡政府2008年1月宣布将在未来12年内斥资200亿新元（1美元约合1．41新元），铺设两条新的地铁线并延长现有两条线路。此前，新加坡政府已承诺拨款200亿美元建造滨海市区线、环线和文礼延长线。到2020年，新加坡地铁网络将从现在的138公里延长到278公里。

| Abstract: | Singapore is adopting a three-pronged strategy to develop its metro network over the next 12 years： massive expansion, acceleration of existing projects, and reducing headways. Centerpiece of Singapore＇s ambitious plan to develop its metro, is the construction of two new lines totaling 48km. They will cost $S 20 billion （$US 14.3 billion）, which is in addition to the $US 20 billion the government has already committed for the current newline construction programme. |
