Abstract:In order to explore the reasonable structural form of diaphragm steering block in continuous box girder bridge with internal and external mixed tendons,taking Banco Bay main bridge in Abidjan,Cote d'Ivoire as the engineering background,the steering block model was established by ANSYS,and the mechanical characteristics of the steering block under the external prestressing force were studied.The results show that the diaphragm steering block forms a pressure zone together with the top and bottom plate of the box girder,which has reasonable stress and clear force transmission;the diaphragm steering block with thickness of 50 cm in the upper part and 100 cm in the lower part of the bridge has excellent mechanical performance under prestress action,so it is recommended to be used in the bridge.
