Comprehensive Land-use along Hangzhou Urban Rail Transit Lines

Problems facing Hangzhou are identified in its comprehensive utilization of land along its urban rail transit lines and suggestions are made to improve the land use in the city by learning from other similar cities.For the sake of sustainable development of urban rail transit in Hangzhou,the development scope of the land should be clarified;the metro group should be defined as the main body of the land users along the lines;specially-financed land should be earmarked for the construction of metro;the way to obtain the development right of properties above metro should be specified;policies on land use and development should be made;and leadership and supervision should be strengthened.
