Passenger Flow Characteristics and Functions Orientation of Tianjin Light Rail

Tianjin Light Rail Line 9 connects the central urban area and Binhaixinqu of Tianjin, which plays an important supporting role in the formation of the pattern of two cities in Tianjin. Based on the automatic fare collection(AFC) data of Tianjin Rail Transit, this paper analyzes the current passenger flow characteristics of Tianjin Light Rail Line 9, including the growth rule, and the time and spatial distribution characteristics of passenger flow, and the enhancement of urban passenger flow services after the opening of Metro Line 5. Based on the characteristics of passenger flow, this paper studies and analyzes the status quo of Jinbin Light Rail Transit(LRT) and its planned functions, identifies the problems caused by the mixed functions at present, and provides corresponding suggestions combined with long-term planning and relevant situations. The analysis and research on the function orientation of Jinbin LRT are of great significance to the future expansion and promotion of the LRT.
