| Abstract: | In order to give the trainees some vivid auditory effects, the simulation of various sounds in cabin is significant for metro train driving simulator (MTDS). In this paper, the types and characteristics of sounds in MTDS are discussed, which are divided into non-directional sounds and 3D stereo sounds. A new method of audio simulation is proposed with the application of the latest Microsoft DirectX component XAudio2, this technology is able to give the trainees a strong sense of immersion. |
