Application and Development of Video Monitoring Techniques in Railways

This paper is mainly focused on such aspects of video monitoring techniques as the application actuality, development of techniques, standardization courses both inland and overseas, and especially for inland, the construction and management of existed railway video monitoring systems. Further, it also tries to demonstrate that the video monitoring techniques must be widely used and well developed in railways from such aspects as the releasing of management rules and technical standards, system configuration, main techniques, and the prospect of application, etc. Moreover, it points out some problems and relevant suggestion for the video monitoring systems.
