Performing Their Respective Roles to Jointly Promote the Healthy Development of Beijing Urban Railway

On July 1, 1965, China＇s first metro was started building in Beijing, the first phase project was opened to traffic on October 1,1969, which ended the history that no metro in China. But during the next 30 years, the Beijing metro has not been rapidly developed. In 2000, Beijing just had 54 km metro line, which did not match with the rapid economic growth and the level of development, and laged far behind other countries.
