Abstract:The principles of dilution sampling system of particulate emission measurement for automotive diesel engine are described. The merits and demerits of these systems are compared. The full flow dilution sampling system is expensive, but it can meet the requirement of emissions standards on particulate measurement. Particulates emissions can be measured accurately by using the full-flow system. Partial flow dilution sampling system is cheap and therefore used widely.
