On some major scoring factors for Q system rock classification

Q system surrounding rock classification has been adopted worldwide in underground practice,yet understanding and views on major scoring factors for the classification are not fully unified.Moreover,approaches to score each factor under field conditions are also quite different and with certain arbitrariness,which may affect the accuracy of classification.Based on the author's own experience,practice and knowledge,the meanings of several factors related to Q system adopted in underground practice are properly explained,with some practical proposals for scoring each factor on site recommended.
