Project cost control is a system engineering involving the contents of project approval, design, construc- tion and settlement. The taken measures to prevent and control methods should run through the whole process of the project construction. In view of the phenomenon of separation of engineering technology and economy in engineering construction field in recent years, several aspects that the project cost per- sonnel~ overall quality is not high, the width and depth that they take part in project construction is not enough, innovation and service ability is weak are analyzed and discussed. The project cost personnel should keep learning and mastering certain engineering technology and coordinate with design personnel closely. Based on improving the level of the budget, they should develop along the mode that on the engineering economic and technology combination, create a new idea and make the engineering investment benefit maximized.
