| Abstract: | This paper, based on the new requirements of MARPOL Convention and taking into account the situation and practice concerning prevention of pollution from ships, discusses the roles of legislation, shipping companies, port terminals, maritime authorities, equipment manut：acturers, and maritime universities at different levels, and puts forward some suggestions on the strategy for prevention of pollution from ships. |
