| Abstract: | The rolling characteristics of a wheel on sand have been studied by experiments. The mechanism of becoming unstable for a rolling wheel on sand has been explored. The way to improve the stability of a rolling wheel on sand has been discussed. The results obtained in this paper will advance the development of wheeled desert vehicle with higher mobility. |
