Abstract:Under the No.6-10 piers of Luanhe extra-long bridge on Jing-Shan railway line there are abandoned steel girders buried for 5-8m in depth and are 4-6.4m below the water. In course of construction, after an island is built, treble auger injected piles are applied to seal the water and used as support, which is then followed by pumping of water, cutting and clearing of steel girders. Thus, the remainder steel girders are successfully removed to ensure the construction quality of the bearing platforms, bringing no ill effects on the safety of the existing bridge.
