| Abstract: | This paper analyzes the working features and the applications of the steel wire rope used in handling machinery in harbor, considering of the effect of the optimal ratio of diameters of pulley and rope to the rope's working life, the paper suggests the importance of reasonable selection of the diameter of the rope as well as the selection of the rope's structure. |
