Based on the introduction of the British Transport Police（BTP）and the expectation,mission,values,and strategic objectives of the police strategic plan,this paper further analyzes BTP programs,including the National Police plan objectives and London underground police plan.London subway and the Chinese urban rail transit have to face the challenge of major events.China＇s urban rail transit industry can learn from the goal-oriented,straightforward and pragmatic approach of their British counterparts,so as to build up their own police goals and plans.
