Innovating the Financing of Urban Rail Transit Through Domestic Bond Market

On the basis of an analysis on present financing modes and investment circumstances of urban rail transit construction in China, the significance of issuing bonds for urban rail transit construction in China is elaborated considering the characteristics of bond financing and the present situation of domestic bond market. The basic condition of domestic bond IPO (Initial Public Offer) are introduced. Some challenges the urban rail transit enterprises will be confronted in issuing bonds are identified and solutions to these problems are proposed in accordance with the features of the urban rail transit industry and the actual conditions in China.
