Common Methods on Treatment of Soft Soil Foundation of Highway in North China and Its Economic Comparison

According to the unique characteristics of geology, topographic feature and the existence of soft soil foundation in North China, this paper discusses five common methods on treatment of soft soil founda- tion in North China such as replacement method, geotextile reinforcement method, drainage consolidation method, reinforced soil pile composite foundation method and dynamic compaction method. By analyzing and comparing the principles, advantages and disadvantages, the scope of application and the pricing of all the methods, this paper proposes the implementing plan which can achieve good use effect and eco- nomic effect in North China.
