Route Extension Design in Urban Rail Transit

Urban rail transit engineering is a multi-disciplinary, comprehensive, complex interface engineering project, so its line extension design is involved in a wide range, considering many factors, and complex multi-professional interface. This paper takes into consideration of both the Guiyang urban rail transit network planning and topography, and summarizes the line extension design scheme comparison and selection for the long and steep slope sections by taking line 2 as an example, and provides references for metro line extension design.
