On Japanese Honorifics and Japanese's Sociological View

Honorifics is the language expression which truly reflects Japanese society and relationships of Japanese people. Japanese like to make conjecture upon languages spoken and written, or more precisely speaking, they like to find out the true meaning hidden beneath. This dissertation reflects on the modern Japanesels sociological view through analyzing the principles of ＂tatemae（たてまぇ ）＂ and ＂honne（ほんね）＂, and the discussion of factors ofmultiple levels from society and psychology on Japanese honorifics.
