微处理器电压调节器瞬态响应特性的改善

摘    要:为设计具有快速动态响应的微处理器电源电压调节器,分析了在负载突变时电压调节器的瞬态响应特性和电路器件参数对输出电压瞬态响应影响.分析表明,采用合适电容值的低等效寄生电阻的滤波电容,并提高开关频率,可减小输出电压跌落.仿真结果显示,电感减半使电压跌落减小约20%,响应时间减小约60%;取临界(优化的)电容值可使电压波动减小约40%,但延长了响应时间;电流型控制方法比电压型控制方法电压跌落减小了约20%。响应时间缩短70%以上.

Abstract:The transient responses of voltage regulator (VR) to sudden load changes and the parameters of a VR affecting the transient response of output voltage were analyzed to achieve a VR with fast transient responses. The analyses show that using a low equivalent series resistance (ESR) capacitor with a carefully determined value and raising switching frequency can decrease output voltage fall. Simulation results verify that decreasing the inductance of the inductor reduces the output voltage fall and response time by about 20% and 60%, respectively; selecting a capacitor with the critical capacitance reduces the output voltage fall by about 40%, but increases response time; and compared with voltage mode control, current mode control reduces the output voltage fall and response time by about 20% and 70%, respectively.
