| Abstract: | The traffic accident types at the accident-prone section of a certain expressway are analyzed comprehensively in the paper. The analysis considers several factors such as pavement structure, pavement alignment and operating environment. The optimal strategy for the accident-prone section is determined, which can reduce the accident rate and improve the road fault tolerance. |
