| Abstract: | There are some technical difficulties in the construction of Laoyachong tunnel, which penetrates across underneath a highway. This paper presents the construction of the tunnel, with the emphasis on the controlling of the surface subsidence in order to ensure the safety of the highway during the tunnel construction. The paper describes the effective construction methods adopted and summarizes the successful experience. |
