Abstract:In this study, I examine the main services provided by wireless local area networks and long term evolution for machines (LTE-M) dedicated to urban rail systems. I propose that the LTE-M system integrates the network structures of train operation and control, image monitoring, and trunk dispatching services. The deployment of 5G in train-to-ground wireless communications systems is discussed based on the needs of services in urban rail and the network plan is designed. In addition, we analyze the benefits to urban rail of the application of 5G. Finally, the main problems in the process and relevant solutions are proposed.
