| Abstract: | The design concept, layout inside the car and structure parameters of the 800 series EMUs for Kyushu Shinkansen that began to operate in spring of 2004 between the new Shin-yatsushiro Station and Katoshima Center Station are described. The identical points and different points between the EMUs and those of the 700 series are pointed out. |
