:With investigation into shipping and shiprepair at Li anyun Port as example,this paper gives necessity,urgency and feasibility to bui ld a shipyard with (6～10)x104 dwt dock and shipway.It also points out that it w ill promote economic development and realization of great plan for Lianyun Port to strengthen its essential port facilities and complement its port functions,an d to fill in the gaps of operation without large dock,as well.
