| Abstract: | Based on a contrastive study of universities in China and the United States, the writer reflects profoundly on the strategies for the development of China's universities in the new century. Moreover, the writer also puts forward a set of suggestions concerning reengineering subjects buiding up a strong teaching force, enhancing students' qualities, broadening fund raising channels and implementing scientific management. |
