| Abstract: | This paper investigates the structure and characteristics of fuel spray in a direct injection diesel engine. By means of high-speed video camera and high-pressure chamber, the shadow-graphs of fuel spray are taken and the effects of density of surrounding medium are studied on the spray penetration, cone angle and evaporation etc. |
