Abstract:Relay is an important component of vehicle electrical control.Its working environment is that momentary high current passes through periodically closed contacts.The contact resistance between contacts generates heat under the action of the large current at the moment of closing,which leads to contact.It is extremely prone to fusion welding,which seriously aff ects the performance of the relay and endangers driving safety.The contact behavior between relay contacts is a key factor aff ecting its contact resistance.For this reason,this paper establishes a numerical model of contact mechanics based on the Greenwood-Williamson model,which lays a foundation for the analysis of transient contact resistance between contacts,and provides a reference for the design and reliability evaluation of the relay thermal protection mechanism.
