Abstract:This article introduces a development of a dynamometer, the Multiaxial Wheel Hub Dynamometer. It is capable of making the measurement of the three force components and three moment components that are produced by the tires on the vehicle in motion. The features of this dynamometer are high frequency-response, high performance, and easy operation. It can be attached to the wheel hub and allows the measurement to be made while the vehicle is actually driven. It produces precise real time data leading up to the exact analysis of vehicle dynamics.
