After Independence, Russia experienced a hard period of social transformation, and great changes have taken place from political system to economic system, from education to social life. Its news media is no exception. Varieties of ideology lead to the collapse of communism, and traditional Russian news communication concept has been greatly disturbed as a result of the invasion of western liberalism. Besides, journalists' values and ethics are greatly influenced by the trend of market economy. They are going to great lengths to seek a suitable route for their own development while absorbing western democratic ideas and liberalism, and in this period they are also frequently faced with the perplexity concerning power, economy and culture.
