Abstract:An inverse problem technique with the integral equation method is used to design a kind of magneticbrush made from permanent magnetic bars. Least squares computation and one-dimensional search method areemployed to find the minimum of the object's function. A method to obtain the initial values of the requiredgeometric parameters is presented. The effectiveness of this technique is illustrated by examples.
