Safety of hybrid-electric and fuel cell vehicles is a critical aspect of these new technologies, since any accident exposing
occupants of such vehicles to unconventional hazards may result in significant setbacks to successful market penetration.
Fuel cell and hybrid-electric drive systems are complex, and it is essential to perform a thorough analysis to determine critical
failure conditions. There are several safety concerns for routine operation of such systems, particularly for hydrogen-fueled
vehicles. A modified Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA) has been developed, along with a Criticality Analysis (CrA),
to identify potentially hazardous conditions for crash and non-crash situations. A mathematical model of fuel cell operation
has been developed and used here in conjunction with the FMEA. Component failures during the event modes are simulated using
vehicle models developed with Matlab Simulink tools. Six simulation models were created using the software. In addition, a
preliminary finite element model of a fuel cell vehicle, using a Ford Taurus (91′) model year sedan, has been developed and
implemented. This finite element model is used as a demonstration of the crash simulation of the vehicle. 相似文献

This study presents a few fail-safe control strategies based on reliability evaluation scenarios for the electronic brake systems of green cars in several critical cases. CarSim and MATLAB Simulink were used to develop the FCEV model with regenerative braking involving EWBs and EMBs. The proposed reliability evaluation scenarios were simulated, and a few fail-safe control algorithms were verified using the proposed reliability evaluation scenarios with the developed FCEV simulation model. The reliability evaluation scenarios were developed using a combination of driving modes and FMEA results for these electronic brake systems. 相似文献

FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis) is a procedure used to identify potential failure modes, determine
causes and effects of failure modes and mitigate or remove its effects on system functional performance. For the last several
decades, FMECA has been widely used in industry, and specialized versions of FMEA have been developed for several industrial
sectors. For instance, MIL-1629a, SAE-J1739 and IEC-60812 have been mainly used in the military, automotive and electronics
industries, respectively. However, there is no specialized FMECA method for the railroad industry yet, despite a need for
highly reliable systems. Thus, in this study three specifications, MIL-1629a, SAE-J1739 and IEC-60812, were analyzed and compared
with one another, and characteristics and requirements of railroad systems were summarized. Then a specialized FMECA procedure
for railroad systems was proposed based on the processes documented in the specifications, characteristics and requirements
of railroad systems. Finally, the procedure was applied to a railroad system in order to validate its applicability. 相似文献
