The acoustic design of exhaust mufflers has mainly focused on reducing the discharge noise from the tailpipe. However, the noise that is transmitted through the muffler jacket and the endplate becomes important since the muffler reduces the amount of discharge noise when it has an optimized design. It is known that the contribution to the overall exhaust noise of the muffler shell is significant in the mid- and high-frequency ranges. The current problem is that there are no appropriate computational tools at high frequencies. A simple method to analyze the 1/3-octave band of sound radiating from an arbitrary shape (like a muffler) was employed to predict the band spectrum of the radiated noise. The calculation method included formulating the boundary integral, which was modified into a quadratic form in order to enable the prediction of the intensity levels in a band analysis. Monopole and dipole source terms in the conventional BEM were transformed into the auto- and cross-spectra of the two vibrating sources, in which the cross-spectra could be eventually omitted by assuming that the correlation coefficients were negligible. The method was adopted in an abrupt calculation of the shell noise in 1/3-octave band levels without nonuniqueness problem. In comparison with the measured data, the simulation result showed roughly 3-dB errors at most of the field points, excluding several special points that were normal to the shell and exhibited a maximum 5-dB error.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a universal plug and play (UPnP) — controller area network (CAN) gateway system using UPnP middleware for interoperability between external smart devices and an in-vehicle network. The proposed gateway consists of a UPnP communication device, a CAN communication device, and a device translator layer. In-vehicle devices are not usually IP-based, so we implemented an in-vehicle device manager in the UPnP communication device which is in the gateway. We developed a vehicle simulator to produce real vehicular data for performance analysis. The CAN communication device transmits and receives real-time vehicle data between the real vehicular simulator and external devices through the UPnP. The device translator layer configures a message frame for enabling seamless data input and output between the CAN and UPnP protocols. After implementation, we generated an internal-external service request and tested the result. Finally, we confirmed the service request and operation between external devices and the internal vehicular device. Additionally, for a variety of external device numbers and communication environments, we demonstrated the gateway performance by measuring the round trip time (RTT) for overall service implementation.  相似文献

Most hybrid vehicles employ the continuously variable transmission (CVT or eCVT) currently as their choice of the transmissions. Recently, an automated geared transmission (AGT) or dual clutch transmission (DCT) is being tried for some hybrid vehicles for the better fuel economy than the CVT hybrid. However, this AGT or DCT is using automated clutches which require the hydraulic power in addition to the slippage in the clutch plate invoking some energy loss as well as wear. Also, they require a motor with significant power to match to the engine power. The clutchless geared smart transmission (CGST) has no clutch and the clutch function is performed by a planetary gear system controlled by a motor-generator. The hybrid vehicles proposed here using CGST may have some merits in durability, fuel efficiency, and cost since they do not have clutches. The motor used for the clutch function can be also working for power merge with the engine in propelling the vehicle. The proposed hybrid system can be either mild hybrid or full hybrid by adopting a different capacity of battery with much smaller motor-generator due to the planetary gear system compared to the other type hybrid vehicles. In this study, the prospects of newly proposed CGST hybrid system are examined in practical aspects compared with AGT hybrid or DCT hybrid systems.  相似文献

The railway transportation system has much advantage in eco-friendliness, punctuality and safety compared to any other transportation system. Most of the railway system administrators have to control and operate under limited resources such as trains and facilities. It is necessary to control traveling time and energy consumption for efficient operation in the railway systems, because the board rate of passenger is inconstant with time variance. It is common that the shorter traveling time causes the greater energy consumption. In this study, a new optimization method considering operation time or energy consumption is proposed by using differential evolution algorithm and some cases are reviewed. The total energy change due to operation time variation are investigated by using the proposed optimization method for tangent and gradient track conditions. Both cases, the total energy decreases exponentially. However, because of gradient the total energy are saturated after a certain time for gradient track.  相似文献

A speed sea trial was performed in the Amundsen Sea in February and March of 2012. The Korean ice breaking research vessel “Araon” was used to check speed performance on the big floes. Two of ice trial cases were carried out. We describe the time history of location, the engine power, and the revolutions per minute during the ice trial, and the trajectory of the ship. Additionally, the measured ice properties are considered and discussed. The ice trial results were analyzed according to variation in ice thicknesses, ice strength, propulsion power, and the speed level of the ship. Our analysis results are compared to model test results and ice trial results. A correction to the target ice thickness was used to compare the power and speed relation in the same ice thickness because it is easy to know the relative speed performance of the ship. The Hamburgische Schiffbau-Versuchs Anstalt method was applied for the correction. The speed of Araon in big floes was higher than the speed in level ice. The speed after the correction at 10 MW of power and 103 cm of ice thickness was 5.4 knots based on analysis results.  相似文献

车速是描述车辆运行状态的基本参数,而掌握城市主干路路段车速分布特性更是许多后续研究的基础。本文以南京市部分主干路调查得到的数据为基础,运用统计学方法,对城市主干路路段车速分布特性进行了研究。首先,通过对车速的分布形式进行拟合,定性分析了不同类型主干路的分布形式;然后,从路段整体、横向两个角度对车速分布的集中趋势和离散程度进行了分析。结果表明,城市主干路路段车速分布的形式主要与车辆行驶时的自由度有关,道路条件以及交通流状态对车速分布的参数值有着不同程度的影响。研究成果将对城市主干路的规划、设计、控制、管理以及评价提供科学依据和数据支持。  相似文献

This paper suggests a fatigue life calculation method (A fatigue life calculation method is suggested) for rubber components based on the dynamic crack growth considering shear effect. Dynamic tearing tests were carried out, and the crack length was measured using an optical microscope to calculate the dynamic crack growth rate which characterizes and determines the fatigue life. The algorithm was numerically implemented in finite element code, ABAQUS standard, by using the user subroutine and applied to several rubber components. In the finite element analysis, deformation mode of an element was classified into tension and shear, and a weighting factor was multiplied to a strain energy density according to the degree of shear strain. Tension and compression of an elliptic dumbbell specimen was simulated in order to verify the material parameters of the suggested fatigue life prediction equation and to enhance the reliability of the algorithm. Finally, the fatigue life of a vehicle suspension bushing was calculated and compared with test. There were good agreements in the failure location and the magnitude of the fatigue life.  相似文献

As vehicles become more intelligent, in-vehicle networking (IVN) systems such as controller area network (CAN) are essential for the convenience and safety of drivers. To expand the applicability of IVN systems, attention is currently being focused on chassis networking systems that require increased network capacity and real-time capabilities. FlexRay was developed to replace CAN protocol in chassis networking systems, to remedy the shortage of transmission capacity and unsatisfactory real-time transmission delay of conventional CAN. However, FlexRay network systems require a complex scheduling method, which is a barrier to their implementation as chassis networking systems. In particular, if we want to migrate from a CAN network to a FlexRay network using the well-defined CAN message database, which has been specifically constructed for chassis networking systems by automotive vendors, a new type of scheduling method is necessary to reduce scheduling efforts during the software development process. This paper presents a node-based scheduling method for easy migration from a CAN network to a FlexRay network system. To demonstrate the feasibility of the technique, its performance is evaluated in terms of various software complexity indices.  相似文献
