校园文化是虚实相生，远近相连的物质与精神的泛化成果。之所以说是泛化，因为校园文化不能完全说成就是思想精神的成果，因为它也通过基础设施、校园景观等物质载体来体现。但也不能完全说成是物质的成果，因为它也通过人们的思想风范和精神风貌来体现。正因为这样，在新世纪营造具有高职特色的校园文化时，会发现物质的泛化成果胜于精神的泛化成果。基于此，文中强调对学生的思想匡正、强调培养富有战斗力的学生队伍，强调学生的职业技能素质教育。
