贺麟的儒家思想现代性话语

贺麟提出儒家思想的新开展问题。这一问题可以解读为儒家思想的现代性开展的可能性问题。我们从是否可能、为何可能和如何可能三个问题入手考察贺麟的解题思路：从儒家道德的批判、非儒思想的提倡和西方文化的引进三个方面回答了是否可能问题;从文化的体用之辨回答了为何可能问题;从检讨和“化西”两个途径回答了如何可能问题。他不是在儒家思想中找寻个别现代性因素,而是从整体上反思儒家思想现代性开展的可能性。这一可能性话语框架仍然存在一些问题,如儒家思想现代性开展的现实可能性、解释能力、客观途径等问题。这些问题表征出现代儒学复兴运动的内在困境。

The Discourse of Confucian Modernity in HE Lin's Philosophy

HE Lin put forward the issue of Confucian development in modern China, which can be interpreted as the possibility of Confucian modernity. We will discuss mostly three correlative aspects: whether, why and how is Confucian modernity possible? HE Lin answered the question of "whether" through criticism of Confucian ethics, revival of the non-Confucian schools and introduction of Western culture. He answered the question of "why" from the perspective of substance and function (ti-yong) and the question of "how" by means of self-criticism and "westernization". Although HE Lin develops the discourse of Confucian modernity based on his reflection, he still leaves some problems unsettled, for instance, the possibility of Confucian modernity and the hermeneutic ability of Confucianism, which shows the problems in the movement of modern Neo-Confucianism.
