Trend of Development of Shinkanson Train Technology in Japan |

| Abstract: | A series of scientific and technological achievements obtained in more than 30 years of the Shinkanson high speed railway operation in Japan are expounded. The new technology development being made at present is described. The trend of development of Shinkanson railway in the future is prospected, as well as several achievements in testing obtained in the magnetic levitation train. |
