History of Evolution of Chinese Ship Financial Leasing

Compared with overseas ship financial leasing industry, Chinese ship financial leasing industry which started from the early 80＇s is a typical late comer. In the middle and late 90＇s, a large amount of receivable and bad debts took leasing industry to the edge of bankruptcy. In 2007, the banking regulatory commission promulgated Measures forManagement of Financial Leasing Companies allowing banks to set foot in the leasing market, and the leasing industry was brought to life. Leasing market once again became the focus. In 2008 when financial crisis broke out, the shipplng industry experienced sharp decrease, European banks with early knowledge gradually tightened loaning and ship financial became more and more difficult. Chinese ship financial leasing industry took advantage of this opportunity to develop and leasing companies sprung up in domestic market.
